Cabinet Assembler
- Location - Mid Missouri/Surrounding Areas
- Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Assemble cabinet components including boxes, frames, doors, and drawers according to shop drawings and production specifications.
- Use hand and power tools (nail guns, drills, clamps, etc.) to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all parts are square, flush, and meet quality standards.
- Apply adhesives and fasteners properly during the assembly process.
- Identify and report defective parts or improper assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Assist with staging assembled products for finishing or shipping departments.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines and daily goals.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using common woodworking tools and fasteners.
- Ability to read and follow shop drawings, cut sheets, and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience assembling custom or production cabinets.
- Familiarity with cabinetmaking joinery techniques (dado, dowel, pocket screw, etc.).
- Knowledge of material types such as plywood, MDF, and hardwoods.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing or assembly line environment.
Soft Skills
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of cabinet assembly or woodworking experience preferred.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours based on production needs.
