Cabinet Installer

Responsibilities

  • Install custom and pre-fabricated cabinets, trim, and accessories in residential or commercial settings according to specifications and plans.
  • Read and interpret floor plans, shop drawings, and installation schematics to ensure proper placement and alignment.
  • Verify job site measurements and make adjustments as needed to ensure accurate fit and finish.
  • Use hand and power tools to secure cabinets, level units, scribe moldings, and complete high-quality installations.
  • Address on-site challenges such as unlevel surfaces, misalignments, or missing components professionally and efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or changes during installation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite, protecting finished surfaces and cleaning up after work is completed.
  • Document and report installation status, issues, and completion to the office or project manager.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., drills, levels, saws, clamps).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and floor plans.
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry installation techniques.
  • Competence in leveling, scribing, and securing cabinets to various wall types.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience installing high-end custom cabinets or millwork.
  • Basic carpentry or trim work experience (crown molding, toe kicks, fillers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with punch list procedures and customer walk-throughs.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety protocols and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of cabinet installation or finish carpentry experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs, bend, kneel, and work in various residential environments.
